Curtis R. High is a solo practitioner, focused on criminal defense. For the past 19 years Mr. High has been practicing exclusively criminal law in Raleigh, representing people accused of crimes in state and federal court. Mr. High has extensive jury trial experience in every aspect of criminal law from major felonies to petty misdemeanors.

Mr. High defends criminal law cases in Raleigh and its surrounding areas. His office is conveniently located in the historic Raleigh Building, just one block from the Wake County Courthouse and two blocks from the Federal Courthouse.

Education and Experience

Mr. High graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Philosophy in 1989 and earned his Juris Doctorate in Law from the University of South Carolina in 1993. While he was an undergraduate, Mr. High played football for the Fighting Gamecocks for five seasons.

Upon graduating from law school, Mr. High returned to his hometown of Raleigh and founded the High Law Firm. In 1994, he became a member of the North Carolina Bar and Wake County Bar. He is currently a member of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice (formerly the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers) and is also a member of the Wake County Bar Association and Wake County Academy of Trial Lawyers.
